Double Decker Tour
The All Loops Double Decker Tour is the perfect way to see New York on your own terms. This hop-on, hop-off tour will take you to the best sights in the city's favorite neighborhoods.

As one of the busiest and largest cities in the world, visitors to New York expect to experience a lot of that "hustle and bustle" as they make their ways around the city. While you probably won't be able to avoid transportation delays, you can plan ahead and use some of the public transportation services to avoid the stress of driving through a strange and busy city yourself.

Getting Into the City...
The main roads that run into and through New York are The Garden State Parkway, Interstates 87, 287, 80, 678 and 95 and Highways 1, 9, 4, 3, and 23. You'll find that there are pay-for-parking garages available throughout the city, as well as metered parking on some streets. Make sure you read the signs on and around the meters before leaving your car--some may have date, time, or snow restrictions.  If you've driven into the city, but plan on parking your car for the duration of your visit, call the hotel you'll be staying at and see if they can recommend a safe, comparatively inexpensive, extended-period parking lot.

Getting Around the City...
Traveling by taxi is one of the more popular ways to get around this large city. Hailing a cab can be intimidating, but is really quite simple. If the numbers on the top of the roof are lit, the cab is available for hire. Stick your arm out and wave at it to get it to pick you up. The only cabs authorized to pick up hails are the yellow medallion cabs. Do not take rides from any other cars as they are usually more expensive, and may even be dangerous. Cabs only take cash - and make sure that you have small bills on you or you risk the driver not being able to make change.

AIRPORTS:

New York is served by two Airports. La Guardia Airport is located closer to Manhattan and Westchester Airport is located closer to Greenwich Village.

La Guardia International Airport (LGA) is one of the most traveled airports in our country and offers on-site car rentals, shuttle service, cocktail lounges, a barbershop, nursery, newsstand and more. Taxi and limo services are available for hire at the terminal entrances.

Westchester County Airport was originally a defense satellite base for New York City and began scheduling commercial flights in 1947. The airport offers nonstop service to 10 major cities. The airport features a restaurant, gift shop, shoeshine service, on-site car rental and on-demand taxi and limo service.

One of the buses had a broken air conditioner, other than that the tours were great, would recommend to anyone. Very worth the experience.

This was our first visit to New York and decided to take the double decker tour. It was fantastic! The tour guides provided so much information and humor as we drove around the city. I will recommend this tour as the way to see the city to all of my friends and family. Thank you New York for such a wonderful time. We will be visiting again soon.
