The Museum of Modern Art

The Museum of Modern Art features 6 collection departments including Architecture and Design, Drawings, Film and Media, Painting and Sculpture, Photography and Prints and Illustrated Books. You can view more than 150,000 paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints, photographs, architectural models and drawings and design objects and see exhibits from the museum's extensive library of film, video, scripts, historical documents and more. Past artists who have had exhibitions in the museum include Lee Bontecou, Jean Shin, Cedric Buchet, Kristin Lucas and Yoshio Taniguchi, the architect that designed the new MoMA building.
Details:
- MoMA visitors and members receive discounted parking at the nearby 1345 Garage. Parking stubs must be validated at the Lobby Information Desk or Film Desk in the Museum Lobby
- Hours of operation are Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday open from 10:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Museum is open Fridays 10:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Museum is closed on Tuesdays.
- Restaurants include Café 2, Terrace 5 and The Modern
- Audio programs are available for adults in English, Spanish, German, French, Japanese, and Italian. Special audio programs for children and for blind and partially sighted visitors are also available (in English only).
- All public areas and entrances and most restrooms are wheelchair accessible
- Wheelchairs and walkers, on a first-come, first-served basis, are in the main lobby.
