New Orleans' Tulane University is one of the top private research institutions in the country. Tulane University is a private, non-sectarian university with over 10,000 undergraduate and graduate students. Founded in 1834, Tulane has made a distinguished name for itself with premier academic programs in architecture, business, law, liberal arts, medicine, the sciences and engineering, and social work.
