The Ogden Museum of Southern Art in New Orleans, LA
Visitors can enjoy art collections from all around the nation and from all periods of time. Observe gorgeous paintings, watercolors, prints, photographs, ceramics, sculptures, and much more. Browse through the permanent Museum Collection which features Southern artworks from Washington, D.C. and 15 Southern states. These works of art range from the 18th to 21st centuries, and come in almost every style imaginable. There are many other traveling exhibits available to Ogden Museum visitors, as well. There are also special exhibits available for your viewing pleasure. Be sure to visit the gift shop on your way out, proceeds benefit the Ogden Museum, or the "O" as the locals say.
Hours of operation are Friday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. They are closed on major holidays. Admission is not free, except for children under 5, but it doesn't cost much, and they do offer a senior discount.
