This is the perfect activity for the war or history buff in your family. It's located only nine blocks from the gorgeous French Quarter, so it's not out of the way, at all. Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday. They are closed Sundays, and on major holidays. While admission is not free, it is cheap, and well worth it.
