Loyola University New Orleans is a Jesuit college located in the prestigious uptown area of New Orleans. Loyola has more than 60 degrees offered in their five colleges: Humanities and Natural Sciences, Social Services, Business, Music and Fine Arts, and Law. The university has over 9,000 students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs with a student faculty ratio of 13 to 1. Loyola University was founded in 1837 as a boarding college at Grand Coteau in St. Landry Parish, and it was not named Loyola University until 1996.
The Loyola University Wolfpack participates in NAIA Division I athletics in volleyball, women's soccer, cross country and track, men's and women's basketball, and baseball.
