Bicycle enthusiasts ride into Abita Springs, LA for one of the largest exhibits of handmade, innovative and vintage bikes around.
From rocket bikes to high bikes, the Louisiana Bicycle Festival presents bombastic creations from local artisans as well as vintage favorites. Prizes awarded for style and decoration attract artists, as the finished products are what draw in the crowds.
The vintage bicycles feature everything from Schwinns complete with banana seats to the Mystery Bike, a bicycle with a strange and mysterious past- from what its owners can tell anyway, by its large United State Congress emblems.
So if you're a bicycle fan, or food fan, or garage sale fan, be sure to head on over to Abita the Sunday before Father's Day.
