Irish - Italian Annual Parade in New Orleans

Since 1984, the Irish - Italian Parade has been held on the Saturday after St. Patrick's Day and draws crowds from all over. The parade features marching bands, floats, and features two grand marshals, one Irish and the other Italian. Beginning in the suburb of Metairie, the parade strolls down Veterans Highway and then up and down Seventh Avenue. The parade is a fun event that brings together and celebrates two different cultures.
