Longue Vue House and GardensThe Longue Vue House and Gardens tour in New Orleans, Louisiana gives visitors of today the chance to experience the elegance and style of 1930s and 40s American wealth. This three story home is one of America's last great, custom-built estates left standing and has been designated a National Historic Landmark, a Local Landmark, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Built between 1939 and 1942, the Longue Vue House and Gardens features original furnishings and accents, including: English and American antiques, European and Eastern European carpets, Modern and Contemporary art, needlework, costumes, Chinese and European porcelain, and a variety of British potteries. Guests of Longue Vue House and Gardens are taken through the 20 room living space of the residence. The Flower Arranging Room, Blue Room, Art Gallery, Drawing Room and Wrapping Room are but a few of the unique and meticulously adorned rooms that visitors will experience.
