Nashville, Tennessee has always been a lively and fun place to visit as well as live. There are many historical landmarks and famous attractions in this beautiful city. One of these places is The Hill Center, a center designed for mixed use lifestyle and events of all kinds. This large venue consists of over 220,000 square feet of space. The large area includes dining area, retail and many office facilities. The very first fall event, "Celebrate Style", was held at the Hill Center on October 11, 2008. Celebrate Style was a fall street festival that included fashion shows, live entertainment and food samples that went on from noon until 7 p.m. A great time was had by all that attended. The Hill Center also contribute towards the wonderful day by sponsoring their own events like their shoe demos, cooking demonstrations, sales, specialty jewelry representatives, create-your-own-t-shirts offers, make-up demos and more. The kids loved the face-painting, temporary tattoos and balloons that floated around everywhere.
The Hill Center is owned by H.G. Hills Realty Company, which was started in 1926 by Mr. H.G. Hill, Sr. Mr. Hills started his business world back in the 1800s when he owned groceries stores. It was his dream, when his finances improved, to buy up the properties where his stored stood. With much diligence, he eventually was able to purchase properties in distress or foreclosure. After he started the Realty Company, his son took over the business and continued buying and developing more property, including many strip malls in Nashville. This is how the Hill Center came to be-by purchasing under-developed properties and developing them into something the public would utilize. The Celebrate Style festival was just the start of the many exciting events that the public can expect to see at the Hill Center.
