Convenience & Comfort in the Heart of Downtown Nashville: May 31 - June 4, 2006
We were delighted with this hotel, the service, and the accommodations at the Holiday Inn Express Downtown Nashville. The price is right, and although I've not explore the other lodging options downtown, I imagine you'd be hard-pressed to find a more convenient and comfortable stay in the price range in downtown Nashville.

It has been a long time since I have stayed in a hotel that I have not been hesitant about walking on the floor in my barefeet or sitting on the bedspread of a made bed without feeling like I am going to be sick not knowing what on is on th floor or how long has been since the bedspread had been washed. I was so comfortable at the Holiday Inn Express that I would go back again and again. The employees were wonderful making sure everything was taken care of for us. The breakfast was exceptional every morning. Don't stay anywhere else when you are in Nashville, TN. We will be going back again next year for the Music Fan Fair and we will be staying there.

It was very clean & quiet. The breakfast was the best feature! Tops all the way.(biscuits, sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, cereal, yogurt, sweet rolls, etc.)
Convenient to Country Music Hall of Fame, shoppes, Ryman Auditorium, etc.
Only complaint---having to pay $14 a day to park in a hotel that you're paying to stay in. I think it should be included in the price you're already paying. Because the thing is, that it is too far to leave your car parked at the hotel & then walk to the attractions (unless your 19). And then you have to pay at area attractions to park. So you're paying a great deal to park in the hotel for just during the night because during the day you're going somewhere else. The front desk said that they had a shuttle that would take you within 5 miles, and that's good but they also said that they couldn't guarantee when it could be back to pick you up. So really not convenient.
There was an excellent restaurant that they suggested---Demos. It is Italian but has the Best steaks!! Have to pay to park in order to get there & they stay very busy but well worth the trouble.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. I'd stay there again.
