Join visitors from around the state and country for the Largest Pow Wow East of the Mississippi to be held at
Long Hunter State Park. This annual event features a weekend full of exciting activities and features, including authentic Indian food such as fry bread, Indian Tacos and more. In 2004, Native Peoples Magazine named the Annual Fall Festival and Pow Wow as one of the top 16 pow wows in the country.
Other highlights of the festival include books, music, Native American arts & crafts, jewelry, paintings, pottery, clothing and more. Activities will include games, demonstrations, storytelling, and, of course, competition dancing in categories including fancy, traditional, straight grass cloth, buckskin, fancy shawl, jingle dress, senior and junior.
