Erin Harmon featured at The Parthenon in Nashville, TN

Local artist and art professor Erin Harmon presented her original paintings at The Parthenon in Nashville. Harmon's works, with glossy use of translucent layers of paint explore the mind and body, and have been exhibited in galleries across the nation.

The Rhodes College professor holds a bachelors degree in studio arts from San Diego State University, and earned a master of fine arts degree in painting at Rhode Island School of Design. Her students credit Harmon with encouraging them stretch their art into new and brave arenas.

Her works stood in good company, adding to the more than 60 pieces in The Parthenon's standing collection of 19th and 20th century artists' works.

Serving as the focal point of Nashville's Centennial Park, The Parthenon is a to-scale replica of the ancient Greek landmark, complete with a 42-foot statue of the goddess Athena. Tours for the visually impaired can be arranged with prior notice.
