Adult Artists with Disabilities atFrist Center for the Visual Arts in Nashville, TN

The Frist Center for the Visual Arts provided a venue for aspiring and professional artists with disabilities. The Nashville-based non-profit art center has showcased the works free of charge in an effort to promote awareness and eliminate barriers through the arts.

The Artist's Voice, presented in the Conte Community Arts Gallery, consisted of nearly 40 works created by artists with disabilities. The HCA Foundation and TriStar Family of Hospitals sponsored the exhibition, which received partial support from the National Endowment of the Arts.

In addition to the fine works of art on display at The Frist Center for the Visual Arts, visitors can enjoy music in the Grand Lobby, a hands-on art experience on the upper level, and periodic free Family Days throughout the year. The Center encourages parents to bring their children to explore and learn by offering parent resources. Children under the age of 18 are admitted free.
