Weddings, Honeymoons, and Romance in Nashville

Aside from the museums, parks, shopping centers, and clubs to enjoy with your special someone, there are many romantic activities unique to Nashville that you both can enjoy.

ROMANTIC ATTRACTIONS FOR TWO IN NASHVILLE

  • One event not to miss is an evening on the General Jackson Showboat, departing three times daily—morning, afternoon, and evening. Try for an evening show, and reserve a balcony table for two (the alternative is larger group tables). Guests are served an elegant three-course dinner, and enjoy dancing and live entertainment under the stars.  There are no menus on the Showboat, so you'll need to mention in advance if one or both of you are vegetarians.
  • Be sure to browse show times for the Grand Ole Opry before you leave—many performances make for a memorable evening. Seats towards the rear of the theater are cozy and still offer a great view.
  • If you're up for some fresh air and breathtaking scenery, rent a convertible (or hop in your own) and head down the Natchez Trace Parkway. As the Parkway is not used for getting around Nashville, the both of you will enjoy a serene scenic drive devoid of traffic—all the way to Mississippi, if you're so inspired!

ROMANTIC DINING FOR TWO IN NASHVILLE

  • For a romantic rendezvous, reserve a table for two at Morton's of Chicago. This steakhouse offers an inviting atmosphere perfect for a candlelit dinner—and maybe even a ring! Enjoy a wide variety of delicacies to suit every taste, along with soothing background entertainment.

ROMANTIC LODGING FOR TWO IN NASHVILLE

  • And of course, the Opryland Hotel is both a great place to visit and stay on a romantic getaway, with luxurious rooms, grand staircases, and beautiful garden atriums. If it's within your budget, ask for a balcony suite—it's well worth the upgrade. There is a plethora of cozy restaurants downstairs to enjoy before retiring to your room.

Grand Ole Opry Country Music Show - Nashville
Even better than we expected. We wish Allen Jackson would have played longer, but Little Jimmy Dickens and Mel McDaniels made up for it!

Grand Ole Opry Country Music Show - Nashville
I am not a country music fan, but after a day at the Country Music Hall of Fame, I got to see some inductees in person! The show was wonderful and the Opry theater was an excellent venue.

Grand Ole Opry Ticket
To see The Grand Ole Opry was the main reason I went to Nashville. I was not disappointed. The seats were great. We had a wonderful time.
