Belle Meade Plantation
Belle Meade Plantation
You'll stop to tour the stately Belle Meade Plantation, a racing horse stud farm in the 19th century and home to Iroquois, the first American horse to win the English Derby.

Step back in time and enjoy a bit slower pace on the impressive Historic Tennessee Tour. Sit in awe as you meander through the Tennessee countryside visiting historic southern plantations, presidential estates, and Civil War history.

The countryside around Nashville is some of the loveliest in America. With it's rolling hills and lush green meadows and forests, a trip down these country roads is nothing short of relaxing.

You'll visit the Belle Meade Plantation, known as the "Queen of the Tennessee Plantations." This impressive spread was the showpiece of a 5,200 acre plantation, famed for it's thoroughbred stud farm and nursery during the 19th century. Here, you can tour the present, 30-acre site which includes 10 outbuildings, an 1832 slave cabin, carriage house, and stables.

Visit The Hermitage," former home of Andrew Jackson, our seventh president and favorite son of Tennessee. Beauty awaits on this gorgeous presidential estate. Wander through the formal gardens, visit the slave quarters, the original 1804 cabin of the estate, and Andrew Jackson and wife Rachel's burial sites.

If Civil War history, beautiful countryside, and flowing southern plantations sound intriguing, this adventure is for you! Everyone in the family can enjoy the step back in time to get a glimpse at Tennessee's famed past.

Historic Tennessee Tour & Transportation
Loved Andrew Jackson's home, well kept, well maintained. Didn't enjoy Bell Meade as much, but it was a long day. What a coincidence that my guide-driver was from my part of Texas and used to play dances in my hometown!!!

Belle Meade Plantation Tour
Thoroughly enjoyed the tour of Belle Meade. The guide was very informed and made history come alive. One regret... we would have had lunch there had we known it was possible.
