There are many fun and exciting summer festivals and events in the Nashville area. So during your next Nashville getaway be sure to check out one of these events. DukesFest 2006 Celebrate the Dukes of Hazzard with live musical entertainment, celebrity meet & greet autograph sessions, and amazing car stunts. This year's event will be held at the Music City Motorplex and guarantees great family fun. Reading, Writing, & Rhythm Benefit Concert Held at the Wildhorse Saloon, this annual event was created by country music star Chely Wright and features great live music for a good cause. Proceeds will go towards music education and have provided equipment, band instruments, sound systems, and department grants for over 50,000 students. Past performers have included Martina McBride, Vince Gill, Keith Urban, and many more! Country music fans from all over the world unite in Nashville for four days of concerts, meet and greet autograph sessions, and other fun activities. Performers scheduled as this year's event include Carrie Underwood, Brooks and Dunn, Sara Evans, Clint Black, Wynonna, and many more. This event is a celebration of country music and fan appreciation and is a must for anyone who loves country music. Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival Located in Manchester about an hour from Nashville, this event draws thousands of music fans and features many different genres of music including rock, hip hop, bluegrass, and jazz. Held on a 700 acre farm, this 4 day event will feature several stages of entertainment. Past years have featured artists such as Bob Dylan, Dave Matthews, and Emmylou Harris and have seen crowds as large as 90,000. Wing Ding 28 - Music & Motorcycle Festival Held at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center this event is a celebration of music and motorcycles. Live musical entertainment, contests, competitions, and a parade of roaring bikes are among the exciting events you'll find here. Music City July 4th Portrait of America Celebrate the 4th of July Nashville style at Riverfront Park with a huge concert and fireworks extravaganza. This event is free and between 60 - 80,000 people are expected to be on hand as the Music City Skyline lights up with red, white, and blue. Celebrate days gone by with a variety of fun and unique events such as clogging and banjo contests, and even a horse drawn carriage parade. The event will be held at Cannonsburgh Village in Murfreesboro which is located just 30 minutes from Nashville. The festival is free and is full of great family fun. Fiddlin', Brewin', Bar-B-Q'N Cook Off This event is also held at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center and includes live entertainment, BBQ, kid friendly events, and a variety of other activities. Be sure to bring you're appetite because there will be all kinds of mouthwatering BBQ on hand. Music, BBQ, and good old fashioned fun await at this year's festival. hey, I came to the Wildhorse Saloon with Waterloo Oxford as part of our 2004 Music trip. The food was amazing and the line dancing was fun, the Wildhorse Saloon was definately one of the highlights of our trip....highly recommended

from the looks of this place and from what i read from country weekly this looks and sounds awesome! my fiance and i will be honeymooning in nashville next april and this looks like a must. i love country line dancing and music. this looks awesome!!! i cant wait to check it out. wish a year would go by!

I was in Nashville 4/5-4/9, and i was so delighted during my visit especially so at the salloon, it was so exciting and the performer gwen sebastion was so hot, she rocked the entire joint, keep her around im coing back in june, and i hope to see her again.
