There's plenty to see and do in Nashville, no matter what time of year you're coming to visit. Whether you're traveling with your family or with a group, there's plenty to do all time of the year, especially if you're a music fan. There's a good reason that they call Nashville "Music City." Small enough to be friendly but big enough to be exciting, Nashville is home to the world-famous Grand Ole Opry, as well as the best musicians and the biggest stars that country music has to offer.

The Grand Ole Opry in Nashville

  • The Grand Ole Opry is the world's longest running radio show, having been broadcasting live for over three quarters of a century. This long running tradition always features the best in country and bluegrass music, and you never know who will be dropping in unannounced to play on the show — it might be one of the biggest stars in country music! The Grand Legends Tour makes a stop here, as well as at the Grand Ole Opry Museum.

Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville

  • Another Nashville institution is the Country Music Hall of Fame. Taking up an entire block of downtown Nashville, the Hall of Fame features the greatest sights and sounds of country music. There are spotlight exhibits, special events, and live music in the Ford Theater, an acoustically perfect, state of the art auditorium. Feel free to explore the museum at your own pace; all exhibits are wheelchair-accessible, and there is a gift shop and full-service restaurant in the building. The Discover Nashville Inclusive Tour stops here, as well as a number of the other places mentioned here.

Tours in Nashville

  • With the Home of the Stars Tour, you can see the homes of many of country's hottest and most venerable performers that live in Nashville, including Dolly Parton, Alan Jackson, Brooks and Dunn, Trisha Yearwood, the late Tammy Wynette, and the late Hank Williams, among many others.
  • Another attraction is the famous Opryland Hotel, the largest non-casino resort in the country. You and your family can ride the hotel's Delta boats along an indoor river, past four and a half acres of waterfalls, fountains, and indoor gardens. Other Opryland attractions include the Willie Nelson Museum, the Wax Museum, and the Toy Museum.
  • Take a Grand Legends Tour and you'll see the Opryland Hotel, ride the boats, and do a whole lot more.  Be sure to bring your camera!
  • Or take the Jack Daniels Country Tour to nearby Lynchburg, Tennessee (pop. 361), and visit the Jack Daniels Distillery. And don't forget Opry Mills, another Grand Legends Tour stop, a 1.2 million square foot marvel where you can see some of the biggest fish in Tennessee, race NASCAR-type cars, watch a guitar being built, eat at a number of themed restaurants, AND shop until you drop, all in one place!

Bring your college or military reunion, come with your church group, or just bring the family -- Nashville has got something for everyone of all ages!

Gaylord Opryland Hotel
Very pleasant atmosphere..hotel staff were all friendly, helpful and knowledgable..the room itself was obviously not recently renovated and was average, at best..concessions were significantly overpriced..check-in and check-out were completed in a timely manner and relatively hassle-free, despite the large crowds

We won back stage passes and this really made our trip. Again, here we had no problem with our online vouchers.

Our rooms were perfect. The view from our balcony was spectacular. We could watch the water/lazer show every evening.
