Grand Ole Opry Performance Information for Nashville, TNSeen it all? Done it all? Oh, but have you been to the Grand Ole Opry? Then you ain't seen nothin' yet! Whether you love country music or not, the opportunity to see a performance at the Grand Ole Opry will have you wanting more. The Opry is the country's longest running continuous radio program. It hasn't missed a single broadcast since its start in 1925! Each two-and-a-half hour show is divided into 15 and 30 minute segments. The world-famous Grand Ole Opry, sits adjacent to Gaylord Opryland and seats an impressive 4,400 guests. The performance is broadcast live on the radio, making it an even more interesting show. You can even hear the actual radio commercials playing at appropriate intervals. A portion of the show is carried live on cable television - the crews are there filming and monitors show what the television audience sees. It's all there and it rolls on in such impressive fashion that you just have to see it to believe it! Be prepared to tap your toes and dance in your seat as you listen to the true sound of country music, complete with all the usual characteristics - fiddle playin', banjo playin', songs about lovin', lyin', cheatin', and drinkin'. Each show is dappled with unsophisticated, country-style comedy acts and dancing. All of these elements combine to allow you to just let go and enjoy the spirit of the music. The atmosphere here is casual, much like a little league game or movie than a live stage performance. Guests munch on snacks and popcorn and sit back and enjoy the three hour show, which is a continuously entertaining with only short pauses in the action. Be sure to bring along your camera! At the Grand Ole Opry, it's perfectly acceptable to get up out of your seat and make your way closer to the stage for a great shot of the performers. The halls of the Grand Ole Opry are filled with a sense of history and nostalgia for country music. Loretta Lynn, Vince Gill, and many others have been seen on this very stage. You never know who you might see performing there as performance schedules are not released until the Wednesday before the show. So, make your reservations now and be surprised at who you might find performing during your visit to the Grand Ole Opry! |

Grand Ole Opry Country Music Show - Nashville
Our seats were very close to the stage - we couldn't have asked for better seats. It was such a treat to see Pam Tillis and Emmy Lou Harris. A wonderful evening.

Thanks for your followup.... we had a geat time at the Grand Ole Opry, and the Gaylord Opryland Hotel was real nice as far as scenery was concerned, however, we felt the room was not near as nice or clean for the amount we paid.
