The original building survived the Civil War, but later burned down. The current Maxwell was built on a different site in order to continue the gracious style of Southern living.

Celebrate the ever popular Dukes of Hazzard at CMT Dukesfest, in Nashville, Tennessee.

Dukes of Hazzard fans will gather together the first weekend of June at the Music City Motorplex to enjoy two days of special appearances of the original Dukes cast and and a variety of activities and attractions.

Created 8 years ago by Ben Jones "Cooter" and his wife Alma, the event began in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, having increased greatly in popularity and size over the years.
