This top Nashville attraction brings history alive as visitors explore the home so adored by President Andrew Jackson and his wife Rachel. Purchased by Jackson in 1804, the exquisitely preserved property includes the modest log cabin the couple lived in until the remarkable mansion was built in 1820. Costumed interpreters remain throughout the building to answer questions, and visitors can tour the mansion and expansive grounds at their own pace.

We enjoyed the tour, but it is a little disappointing because all the rooms are sealed off with glass. I understand that is because almost al of the stuff there was the President's and they don't want it damaged or stolen. In my family's opinion that took away from the tour, we had Belle Mead to compare it to.
