Rachel Farley At Grand Ole Opry

Newcomer to the country music world, Rachel Farley, has kicked off her career with a bang! The young teen says that music has always been her passion. She started playing concerts for her stuffed animals at age 4 then she picked up her first guitar at age 12. She immediately poured herself into the music, booked gigs, and learned how to perform in front of crowds. At 13, she met then-rising star Brantley Gilbert and began opening shows for him in Georgia. She had to take up homeschooling because she was already in high demand at this young age. At 15, she signed her first recording and publishing deal thanks to the commitment and perseverance of her loving parents. That year, she lost her father to a rare cancer and turned to music to grieve. “He was so proud of me – the kind of dad who made sure his co-workers all had my demo CD from when I was 11,” she said. At 16, she began touring for Jason Aldean’s sold-out tour with Luke Bryan. Aldean heard her music and invited her to his tour without a radio hit or album. The 17 year old released her debut single “Ain’t Easy” in February 2013 and made her debut at the Grand Ole Opry on March 15, 2013. The young singer has a great outlook for her career, “Be who you are and let people respect you for that instead of trying to fit their mold. You can’t be extraordinary if you’re trying to be like everybody else.”
