Miss Willie Brown At Grand Ole Opry
Best friend’s Kasey Buckley and Amanda Watkins met in 2008 while working in a Los Angeles restaurant together. Amanda was an aspiring songwriter starting a new job under Kasey the head waitress who was an aspiring actress. When they both realized their mutual interest in stardom, they decided to attempt writing music together. They were skeptical but managed to click and write four songs during their first sit down including “Gospel Song,” which would become the final song on their self-released EP Blackouts and Polaroids later that year.
Fast forward a couple of years through hard work and determination when the duo was signed to A&M/Octone Records as the first clients after a breakout performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in 2011. Later that year, they released their debut album, Miss Willie Brown. The duo’s popular songs include “Good Fight,” “Sick of Me,” and “You’re All That Matters to Me.”
Miss Willie Brown made their debut on the Grand Ole Opry stage on August 11, 2012.
