Maggie Rose At Grand Ole Opry

Hailing from Potomac, Maryland, singer Maggie Rose is still new to the country scene, but she is on the way to making a name for herself. Rose began singing when she was sixteen years old, when she performed with The B Street Band, a Bruce Springsteen cover band. After leaving college to pursue a career in country music, Rose moved to Nashville, where she was signed to Universal Republic.

That year, she released a cover of Kings of Leon’s single “Use Somebody,” which was made into a music video on CMT. Her single “Mississippi’s Crying” entered the Hot Country Songs charts in December of 2010. Her next single, “Maybe Tonight,” also entered the charts and was made into a music video that debuted in the Great American Country’s Top 20 Country Countdown, at Number One.
Before 2011, Rose performed under her birth name, Margaret Durante. After signing with RPM Entertainment, she began performing as Maggie Rose and released the single “I Ain’t Your Mama,” which peaked in the Top 40 on the Country charts.
Durante has also sung lead vocals on two songs for the Disney Channel series Shake It Up, “Watch Me” and “Breakout.”
