Kayla Slone At Grand Ole Opry Country Music Show - Nashville
Kayla Slone's story is a true testament to the power of the internet. The young 21 year old is a Walmart cashier who loves to sing to the customers. In February 2013, a cell phone video shot by a friend went viral and attracted the attention of Anderson Cooper, Good Morning America, and NBC. On her visit to the Anderson Cooper show, she personally received a phone call from Dierks Bentley and she was shocked! 'I'm a huge fan. Like so many people, I saw the video, and , gosh, I just love your singing voice, it's such a great traditional country voice. It was really refreshing and I wanted to just call and tell you that I'm a fan and enjoyed your story,' Bentley said. He went on to surprise her with tickets to the ACM's, an ACM pre-party that he is throwing, ACM Fan Jam, and tickets to fly to Vegas! The young girl made her Grand Ole Opry debut on March 23. She says that she hopes this is a kick-start to a music career!
