Johnny Reid At Grand Ole Opry
Johnny Reid is Canadian country singer. He was born in Lanark, Scotland and moved to Canada at age 13 because his father thought he and his brother would have more opportunities outside of Scotland. Well, dad was right. Johnny released his first album Another Day, Another Dime in 1997 at age 23. It wasn’t until his next self-titled album that he began to garner some attention with three singles making it onto the Canadian country charts. In 2004, he released Born to Roll which went on to peak at No. 5 on the Canadian Top Country Albums chart. Johnny developed a significant following and was very successful with his next three albums. Most recently, he released Fire It Up in 2012. Johnny’s intention with this album was to give his listeners energy to get up, get out there, and help someone. The CD expands upon his signature R&B country sound and ramps up the rock for high energy concerts that leaves the audience begging for more. The album won the Fans’ Choice Award at the Canadian Country Music Awards in 2012.
