John Corbett At Grand Ole Opry

County music singer John Corbett was born in Wheeling, West Virginia in May of 1961. Before getting into the music business, Corbett began his career in acting. He started with a guest role on the popular 80s television show The Wonder Years, before moving on to larger roles like that in Northern Exposure, Sex and the City and United States of Tara. In 2006, Corbett released the full-length, self-titled country music album that kick started his career in country music that would lead him to gigs like those on the Grand Ole Opry stage. Corbett has released one single off his independently-released album, “Good to Go.” The song, which Jason Aldean has also recorded on his own self-titled debut album, peaked at Number Forty-Three on the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart.

His acting skills came into play when he was featured in the music video for Trisha Yearwood’s “This Is Me You’re Talking To” in 2008. He has also been the voiceover for Applebee’s Restaurant commercials and for Walgreen’s.
In his film career, Corbett has starred in My Big Fat Greek Wedding, The Messengers, Raise Your Voice and Raising Helen. He has also starred in the 2007 Lifetime Television film Montana Sky and the Hallmark movie November Christmas as the father of a little girl fighting for her life.
