Jack on the Rocks
With the cave spring as a backdrop, this statue of Jack Daniel - appropriately dubbed "Jack on the Rocks" - depicts a younger Jack and replaces the original statue which is now located inside the Visitor's Center.
Tour the Jack Daniel's Distillery, which produces the world's favorite Tennessee whiskey, before you spend time exploring the quaint sites of picturesque Lynchburg, Tennessee. For more than two hundred years, the Jack Daniel's Distillery has been based in the small town of Lynchburg. Your day in quaint Lynchburg will begin at the Distillery as you learn more about the man who created the world's favorite whiskey, as well as watch and see the whiskey-making process as it happens! Visit the barrel rooms, the iron-free spring that churns the water for the whiskey, Jack's office, and much more. After spending some time exploring this world-famous distillery, you'll have to time to explore the quaint shops, restaurants, and diners of Lynchburg, as well as get a glimpse into life on a working Tennessee Walking Horse Farm. Just remember - when you find yourself in Jack Daniel's Country, you'll find yourself among friends.
At the distillery, you'll see the process of mellowing the whiskey through hard maple charcoal - a practice which makes sure Jack Daniel's No. 7 is true whiskey. The distillery crew will share stories and legends of Jack himself, including how he bought the distillery at the age of 13, and registered it in 1866, making it the country's oldest registered distillery.
After visiting the distillery, you'll mosey on over to the quaint streets of downtown Lynchburg, where you may get a chance to pet the town dog and catch up on the news at the General Store. This is your chance to explore Lynchburg on your own, and you can do some shopping, stop for a bite to eat at one of the restaurants, or even take a gander at the Tennessee Walking Horse Museum. Stop in at favorite town hangouts like the Lynchburg Saloon, the Bar-B-Que Caboose, or the Lost Creek Bait Shop. On your way back to Nashville, you'll drive through Shelbyville, and see some of the working Tennessee Walking Horse Farms.
