Clay Walker At Grand Ole Opry

Clay Walker is a country singer with a long list of hits behind him. Walker's rugged country twang and focus on strong lyrics has made him a favorite of fans and country radio.

Walker grew up near Beaumont, Texas. He began playing and touring at a young age. Just after he graduated high school he was working as the house singer at a bar when he was discovered by producer James Stroud. Walker's self-titled debut album produced two No. 1 hits: “What's It to You” and “Live Until I Die.” He was declared Best New Male Artist by Radio and Records an Best New Male Vocalist by Country SongRoundup. Thirty more charting singles followed those first hits, including four more No. 1s: “Dreaming With My Eyes Open,” “If I Could Make a Living,” “Rumor Has It,” and “This Woman and This Man.” His most recent album is 2009's She Won't Be Lonely Long.
