We spent so much time being lost on the freeways, and using a map that didn't work, following written directions, pulling over and getting directions, that we really didn't care if we ever made it there or not.
Once we found the Plantation, we settled down and mellowed out a bit.
The tour was ok. It's not something I'd recommend, sorry.
I've always wanted to see a southern plantation, but this fell short of my expectations.
The historical information was good.
The Plantation part of the tour was a let down. I guess it just didn't feel like a real plantation, sorry.

What a delightful time we spent here. Tour of very informative and guide made us feel we were there as a house guest. A must on all travels to Nashville area. Martha's restaurant was fabulous! I bought the good book!

The guides are fairly well educated and the history is interesting, but it's hard to find, there is no good parking, the buildings on site aren't marked well. The giftshop is overpriced and has nothing to do with history and the restaurant is only open 11 to 2. They seem to have put aside history in favor of society and the site suffers for that.

The Belle Meade Planatation Tour was a very educational and our guide at the Plantation was very well informed.

Thoroughly enjoyed the tour of Belle Meade. The guide was very informed and made history come alive. One regret... we would have had lunch there had we known it was possible.
