The Franklin G Burroughs-Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum is celebrating The Art of Stephan Chesley: Twilight, Slight Rain. Stephan Chesley is a Columbia, South Carolina artist. Not wanting to originally become an artist, he received his degrees in urban regional planning from Virginia Commonwealth and the from Clemson University's School of Architecture. He decided shortly after beginning his career that he had a love for painting and for drawing. His landscape painting are what he is known for and he is a very mysterious and abstract artist. He is a self taught artist whose influences are James Whistler and Jackson Pollock. Come and experience his wonderful collection for yourself and see what emotions he draws from you through his artwork.
