Annual Carolina Sports Medicine Battleship Half Marathon & 5K
Get a good workout in and experience some history all at the same time by taking part in the Annual Caroline Sports Medicine Battleship Half Marathon & 5K that will be held in Wilmington, NC.
This is a USATF certified event that offers a beautiful course that starts and finishes right at the Battlefield North Carolina. Not only does it go through historic downtown Wilmington itself, but it will also take you through Greenfield Lake, and returns to the Battleship after crossing the Memorial Bridge. With your entry fee, you will receive a number of different items including medals for all the half marathon finishers, a custom made race pin for the first 1,200 half marathon entries, a long sleeve t-shirt, chip timing, awards for overall and age group winners, and plenty of food and fun for everyone who participates. There are even river trolley's and race buses that will offer you a convenient way to get in and out of the event site, making this one race that you do not want to miss out on. Open to both runners and walkers.
