Aftera day in Utah's arid desert parks, visitors should hop over to Butch Cassidy King World Water Park for a refreshing break. Known as Moab's summer playground, the 17-acre park is located within the same hidden "box canyon" walls that the famous outlaw once used as a hideout for his Wild Bunch gang and his rustled cattle. Featuring five giant slides and three pools, King World is a great place for families to spend a fun afternoon.
Other activities include paddle boating and fish feeding at Butch Cassidy's Watering Hole, a spring-fed pond, as well as picnicking at one of the shaded structures. In addition to the water attractions, King World boasts some interesting archeological finds, including petroglyphs, Spanish carvings, unusual dinosaur tracks, and the mysterious "King World" sculpture carved into a forty-ton boulder. Concessions, showers, lockers, a kiddie area, and a gift shop are all available on the premises.
