Arches National Park would be complete without a side trek to Balanced Rock, a giant boulder teetering precariously atop a 73-foot sandstone spire. Used as a backdrop in countless movies and commercials, it is one of the most recognizable landmarks in the park. The boulder itself is reportedly the size of three school buses put together. Visitors can catch a good view of it from a trail pull-off, or get a more unique perspective by taking a short easy hike to its base.
