This tour will take ghost hunters and explorers through the foundations of modern Moab as they explore the haunted ghost towns of Utah! First travelers will make their way up HWY 128-River Road-the main route into and out of Moab from the east for thousands of years! The first ghost town that the tour will visit is the once bustling metropolis and water stop for the Rio Colorado railway, Cisco. This town was once the smallest operating post office in the U.S. until the last known residents moved away and the office was shut down. After Cisco, travel past I-70 and the town of Thompson and on to Sego Canyon. Here, guests will visit an old boarding house, homesteads, and the remnants of old coal mining operations! A knowledgeable tour guide will regal guests with tales of former inhabitants before leading the group to Thompson Canyon, where the main attraction found is an old stone oven and bunkhouse in exceptional condition. Before heading back, one more stop to Dalton Wells will be made. This former Civilian Conservation Corp camp now only displays a foundation of what once existed, making the area more than mysterious!
If you’re wanting to explore the fascinating history of Moab and enjoy a ghost story or two, then do not miss out on your opportunity to book tickets to the Ghost Town ½ Day Explorer Tour!
