If you are a person that loves to learn more and more things about the planets as well as outer space, then the perfect place for you to go is the Minneapolis Planetarium; which is in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
While visiting the Minneapolis Planetarium, not only will you learn about outer space, but there will be many other things as well. In fact, one of the biggest and best exhibits that will be open is the ExploraDome. The ExporaDome is an immersive environment in which students will be able to learn things by hands and minds-on techniques. The best part of all is that the ExploraDome is an 18 foot portable dome. Along with the different techniques of learning, students will be able to learn by virtual travel (which is what the ExploraDome teaches); along with being age appropriate.
While students/people are visiting the Space and Science Theater, they will be taken away to the very outer limits of the galaxy as well as the universe. Because it is a simulation, and it is a crystal clear night with literally thousands of stars, it does not take long for people to forget that they are in the Minneapolis Public Library. Along with the many exhibits available for learning from, there is also an endless supply of pictures and displays. For many, the planetarium is a dream come true!
If you were to go to the Minneapolis Planetarium now, you would not be able to visit inside. In fact, the Planetarium is closed until 2009 as it is being remodeled and revamped to be much better for the public. No matter what the wait, it will definitely be worth it!
