The Miami skyline ranks third behind New York City and Chicago but this will be changing as over 80 high risers are under construction and a further 60 or so are under approval. The new ones include Ten Museum Park, Marina Blue and 900 Biscayne Bay. The Wall begins with the Met 1 tower and ends with the new Marquis Tower. The Marquis tower will be 214m tall and has 67 floors, and will be the second tallest building when completed.
One Biscayne Tower which is 150m tall and 39 floors was the tallest building in Miami from its opening in1972 and 1984 the building of the Wachovia Financial Center. Symbol in Miami as it pre-dates the new building boom in Miami. The city has the five tallest high risers in Florida and the Four Seasons Hitel and Tower is current winner in terms of number of floor and height. The Capital at Brickell Tower Complex will consist of two towers that have a crown and spire on the top, similar to the Chrysler Building in New York City.
All the skyscrapers have a mix of premier retail, residential or office space, and some include hotels. The 35-floor Loft 2 building has the first street Metromove station located inside which will give easy access to the public transit network.
