No matter what time of year you visit Memphis, you will definitely want to stop by the Mid-South Fairgrounds for all the excitement your vacation will need. If you visit during September, then of course you will want to take advantage of the time and go to the annual Mid-South Fair which has been a part of Memphis for over 150 years. Any other time, there are other things to see at the Fairgrounds as well. For instance, the Memphis Flea Market, nickname "The Big One" which is held every third Saturday and Sunday of each month from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Also located on the property is the Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium, which is a football stadium which hosts the Liberty Bowl each year. The Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium is also home field to the University of Memphis Tigers football team. With so much to do year-round at the fairgrounds, you will want to make sure to mark this as a destination on your vacation.
