Each year, one weekend in May is bursting at the seams with big name blues and rock performers from around the nation for the
Beale Street Music Festival. Across the 3 day weekend and 4 stages there are over 60 performers that sell out annually. Past performers have included Bob Dylan, B. B. King, The Killers, Elvis Costello, and more.
This event has been the most popular festival in Memphis ever since its inception a year after Memphis In May began. Although parties, street vendors, and musicians will play throughout the entire street, most major performances are centered at Tom Lee Park at the foot of the street.
