A few days are not enough for the birthplace of rock 'n roll and home of the blues, as Memphis has an entire month of festivals and activities during May, with each year providing a different focus on another country's culture.
Past years have included exhibits and performers from Costa Rica, Spain, Ireland, India, and more. The International events occur all over the city, in schools, museums, and parks. The goal of the event is for local children to have experienced at least 9 different cultures by the time they leave schooling.
