Earthfest at Lichterman Nature Center in Memphis, TN

Every year in April, Lichterman Nature Center in Memphis, Tennessee holds its annual EarthFest celebration, a festival that promotes the preservation of and appreciation for our planet. The festival is held annually on or around April 22, which is Earth Day. At the festival, kids and adults alike can take advantage of the Nature Center's many walking trails through lake, forest and meadow habitats. Special exhibits and tours will showcase the plants and wildlife living at and around the Nature Center. The lake area at the center will be open and is perfect for picnicking and relaxing.

EarthFest also features activities such as canoeing lessons, presentations on water conservation techniques, animal meet-and-greets, arts and crafts projects for kids, and, of course, a spectacular Earth Day parade. Local musicians also perform live all day during the festival. Visitors who arrive at the Nature Center before 11 AM receive free admission to EarthFest - after that, the regular admission fee is charged.
