The experience I never thought I would Have
I visited memphis in 2007 After the birth of my daughter. One day I had the opportuity to visit the civil rights musem, when I looked at the outside something came over me that I had never felt before. We walked in and the first place I really wanted to see was Dr. Kings hotel room. When I got to his roomk I began to cry because It was like his spirit had never left the hotel. I began to become more grateful for the people who struggled to make things better for all generations after them. It was one of the most breath taking museums I have ever been to. The most stragest thing happened on the way out of the museum, the lady who was there through every thing that happened even the death of Martin Luther king was sitting on the corner so we decided to go and talk to her. I saw that she really cares for Dr. King because she slept there all night, she told stories about what happened. The stories she told were touching to me. I will be returning to Memphis January 9, 2009 To visit my father and I will make a special trip to go to the museum. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
