Graceland Mansion
Settled on 14 acres, the mansion that the Presleys called home is the second most famous house in America and one of the most visited homes in America today.

Travelers to Memphis may enjoy taking a day trip to the South's casino capital, Tunica, Mississippi, which is just 25 miles south of Memphis. The town is the third largest gaming region in the United States, and is quickly growing. Nine casinos currently call the town home, which keeps the gaming constantly exciting. Although gaming is the most popular activity in Tunica, there are also three golf courses, three museums, and even riverboat cruises. Each casino offers a variety of different activities, so it is really worth it to visit a few in a day to find the best activities.

Casinos
24-hour nonstop excitement means that travelers can enjoy Elvis Presley's Graceland Platinum Experience during the day and fill the rest of the night with the thrills of popular games. Here are all nine and what sets them apart from the others.

Gold Strike: Formal meals, an 800 seat theatre, and over 40 table games allows for an incredibly elegant night.
Bally's: This casino is themed after a rustic 1800s delta, with timber and rich velvet appointments.
Grand: Like its name implies, Grand is the largest gaming resort between Atlantic City and Las Vegas.
Fitzgeralds: This is one of the only casinos in Tunica where that offers a stunning view of the magnificent Mississippi, and is designed in the style of a castle overlooking the river.
Sheraton: Themed after a Tudor-style mansion with fantasy elements, this resort provides over 33,000 square feet of gaming space.
Sam's Town: This is an all encompassing resort that features tournaments, gaming, golfing, shopping, and even sunning and an RV Park.
Resorts Casino: This casino features 35,000 feet of gaming floor all themed after the hospitality of the South.
Horseshoe: This casino takes full advantage of proximity to Memphis by focusing on the unique musical heritage of the city.
Hollywood: All of the magic, glamour, and extravagance of Tinsel Town can be found across 54,000 square feet of gaming floor.

Memphis Hotels
The city of Tunica, despite having several casinos, does not have the best in hotel accommodation. So, if possible, it is advised to stay the Memphis area. This keeps you close to the thriving Memphis culture, and allows for a better night's sleep. Here's a few of the most popular offered:

Comfort Suites - Southaven
Comfort Inn - Southaven
Quality Inn - Southaven
Elvis Presley's Heartbreak Hotel

Elvis Presley's Graceland Platinum Experience
Even though the upper level of the house is not open to the public, the lower level & the grounds are. The house has been restored to the condition it was in 1977. There are couple of rooms (racquetball court) with his suits, gold & platinum records, & even the t.v. he gave his parents in 1975. The swimming pool in back of the house is still there with the garden where Elvis, his mother, father, & grandmother are buried. It was raining lightly & they had (free to use) umbrella's, conveniently located, if needed. Across the street (Elvis Presley Blvd.) are a car / tractor /motorcycle museum, uniforms, & suits. There are 2 restaurants, & 11, count 'em, 11 gift shops, with different Elvis memorabilia, post cards, c.d.'s, pins, shirts & mints. We took the free shuttle to Sun Studio, which was an amazing experience in itself, Everyone was very helpful. I would recommend Graceland to anyone who is interested in Elvis Presley.
