Guide to Beale Street Music Festival 2007
Hard Rock Cafe Memphis
The historic Hard Rock building, set on boogie street Beale, has done time as a recording studio and a saloon- the perfect combination for an electrifying menu that'll make you stomp and shout.
Even though there are more performers than most people will see in their lifetime, there is still quite a bit of other activities to become involved with during the festival. Everywhere throughout the downtown area and Beale Street, travelers will find street vendors offering everything from grilled corn on the cob to deep fried hamburgers and gyros. Travelers who want to eat away from the crowds would probably enjoy the Hard Rock Cafe or Blues City Cafe. But also, travelers will enjoy other aspects of what major news networks have labeled the "Mardi Gras of the Mid-South", such as the extensive street parties that extend for blocks. Staying at Elvis Presley's Heartbreak Hotel is a great way to bring this entire music festival to a close for the night. Blues City Cafe
As a Memphian, I can tell you that Blues City Cafe definitly has the best meal on Beale. It's a must for anyone visitng the Birthplace of Rock and Roll and Home of the Blues...

Fantastic Hotel!! The staff was so friendly and helpful that we didn't want to leave. The decor of the hotel was so colorful and vibrant that I felt I had stepped back in time to the 70's. They have a huge dinning room where they play Elvis Concerts 24 hours a day. They also have a restaurant there so you can get a snack or drink while you watch the concerts. It was a great change from just staying in your hotel room at night staring at the TV. You got to get together with others on vacation, watch the concerts together and just make new friends. Of course a huge plus is you are within walking distance of Graceland! There is a PINK Limo that will come and pick you up from Marlow's so you can go and have a great Bar-B-Que Dinner. Great Food. We had a blast and would only stay there from now on when we go to Memphis!

Even though everyone says the ribs are the best part -- This is a MUST for any steak lover too! Cooked right across the room by staff that welcomes your questions and coments, with the house salad tossed in a light tangy dressing and served with texas toast and your choice of sides (fries were wonderful) I WILL NEVER VISIT MEMPHIS AGAIN AND NOT EAT HERE!
