With the Memphis City Tour, you will embark on a two hour narrated journey that will leave you feeling as if you'd actually grown up along the city's soulful streets with areas visited including the Medical Center, downtown, Beale Street, and Elvis Presley Boulevard. The tour begins on Elvis Presley Boulevard, just outside Graceland. From here, you will travel down the famed boulevard, witnessing the original grave site of Elvis Presley en route to the Medical Center, home to the renowned St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the one-time site of the hospital where Elvis died. After exploring the Medical Center, you will make a brief stop at Sun Studio to visit the souvenir shop, offering items ranging from general knick knacks to classic 45's featuring some of Memphis' most renowned musicians. Next, you will explore downtown with sights seen including the Pyramid and Lorraine Hotel - the location where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was tragically assassinated. As you continue through the downtown area, the many barbecue joints and hot hang-outs of Beale Street will be introduced to you before you stop once more to visit the lobby of the Peadbody Place to watch as its resident ducks (yes, actual ducks!) descend from their Royal Duck Palace on the rooftop to the fountain of the Grand Lobby. We felt this tour was only average in relation to others we have taken. Beale Street was only a quick drive by, not even a drive down. Too much time on cemeteries and medical units. Peabody duck march was OK. but not on our priority list. Graceland was excellent and no complaints there.
