Located approximately three blocks from the central market, it has a very nice perfectly shaded square in front. It is also located across the street from the Nidart Gallery, which will make it easier to find. This theatre has been restored quite beautifully. There is a lot of real wood inside the theatre giving it a beautiful appearance as well as a balcony with much detail and work put into it. The Theatre also has an attached gallery upstairs where you can see artwork and pictures of what the area looked like before the restoration.
The admission to the theatre is 10 pesos, which many feel is very reasonable and more than worth the cost. The design of the Teatro Angela Peralta is considered Neo-Classical, and even after the restoration, still has some of the original style. For those unaware, Angela Peralta was a Mexican opera singer from the 19th century. She was referred to as the "Mexican Nightingale".
