This restaurant is located in southern Mazatlan on the Island of Stone. This island has beautiful landscape as well as a scenic view of the surrounding land from the island. This island has much to offer its tourists and will give you a unique experience while staying in Mazatlan.
You will need to take a boat to the island and it is easy to located through the navigation channel. You will find two piers once you reach the island. Only one of the piers is open 24 hours. The other pier is only open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. One you reach the pier you will be able to take other transportation such as a taxi to get around the island.
The island has many restaurants that will serve you food that is native of the island. The most common foods you will find in these restaurants include, seafood, quesadillas, chicken, soups, salads and coconuts. Restaurant Elvira is a great place to sit and have some lunch or dinner. For dinner, the most popular entree is shellfish.
The restaurant also offers a camp site after they close. For 100 pesos you are allowed to stay in one of their cabins which features two beds. If you would rather not stay in a cabin you are welcomed to hang a hammock or camp out on the beach. If you decide to stay on the beach the price to use their beach is much lower than staying in the cabin. The island of Stone is a beautiful place to visit and the you will get to experience the culture of the 4000 residents who live on the island. If you are looking for a place away from the crowds of tourists, this is the place to visit.
