Pacifico Brewery in Mazatlan, Mexico
Mazatlan in the Mexican state of Sinaloa is not the typical tourist
destination. Not as loud or bright as other cities, and certainly not
as crowded; Mazatlan caters to those wishing to enjoy a relaxing
vacation without the blinding ambiance of other locations. Mazatlan is
an old city, yet its charm and appeal are great. The beaches here are
white, the ocean blue and the people friendly. Mazatlan does not depend
on tourism as a way of life and has never been in a rush to dazzle
potential visitors. The Zona Dorada is the area of Mazatlan that caters
to tourists and where the majority of the hotels, shops and restaurants
can found. This area is right next to the several beaches that could
easily pass as among the most beautiful in all of Mexico. Mazatlan
offers visitors with much more than the typical vacation of sun and
beach.
There are several historical landmarks and places of beauty that
visitors to this city can see and tour. There are bull fights, amazing
cathedrals and plazas steeped in history that could have very well been
pulled from the pages of fiction. There is also the Pacifico Brewery.
Founded by three German immigrants in 1900, the Pacifico Brewery uses
the time tested methods to create pilsner style beer. The brewery was
purchased by Modelo Group in the 1950s that creates some of the most
popular beer in the world today.
Tours are offered of the Pacifico Brewery. Unlike other tours who only
allow visitors to view the brewing process behind a glass; the Pacifico
Brewery brings the tours down on the production floor. The best part of
the tour for many happens afterwards with beer tasting.
The Pacifico Brewery offers a unique vacation choice that other
locations do not have or offer. The Brewery has been a part of Mazatlan
for years and its history and future is directly linked to that of the
city's.
