La Puntilla in Mazatlan, Mexico

Breakfast with a view, or lunch or dinner for that matter is what you will find at La Puntilla in Playa Sur or the South Beach area of Mazatlan. The view is gorgeous and, according to many, worth the somewhat pricey prices attached to dining in La Puntilla. In other words, this isn't a budget oriented dining experience though it is definitely an experience to remember when it comes to dining and enjoying great food and great views while in Mazatlan.

One thing that many tourists to the area appreciate about La Puntilla is its proximity to the statue of the Virgin of la Puntilla. You can visit the statue and then walk right over to the restaurant at almost any time of the day or vice versa. During the beginning of hurricane season there is an increase in traffic in this area as the wives of fishermen in the area make offerings pleading for the protection of their loved ones while at sea.

As for the food served at La Puntilla, it is plentiful and boasts of a wide selection of seafood and salads. From your seat, you can often catch a glimpse of passing ships as well as a lovely view of Stone Island. If you appreciated seafood, then your dining experience at La Puntilla should be a very pleasant experience indeed. However, even if you aren't a big fan of seafood, it is highly recommended that you come for the view and pay a visit to the statue while you are here.
