Mazatlan in Mexico offers plenty of exclusive experiences for visitors.
The mood around the city is more subdued than other tourist locations
as this business is not Mazatlan's main source of income. The city has
a brewery, active ports and the third largest coconut grove in all of
Mexico. Accommodations range from hotels to bed and breakfast, but for
those wanting something different or needing something cheap will love
the Chabela Camping.
Chabela camping is located on Stone Island which is just a short boat
ride from Mazatlan. Do not let the name fool you; Stone Island is
actually a peninsula and is very beautiful which located across the
Navigation Channel. Stone Island has approximately 4,000 residents and
very few tourists. This place is perfect for those that want to truly
get away from everything. Quaint open air restaurants line Stone
Island's beaches many with mariachis and most with delicious margaritas.
There is only one hotel one Stone Island, but other accommodations
include camping, a RV park and Chabela Camping. For those unfamiliar
with Chabela Camping it is closely associated hostel. A hostel provides
accommodation at a lower rate for those travelers that do not mind
group living. Visitors can rent a bed in a shared dormitory setting.
There are several advantages and disadvantages to staying in hostels
and Chabela Camping.
The greatest advantage is price. Chabela Camping is cheaper than
staying in hotels, or bed and breakfasts. Those visiting Stone Island
will enjoy the opportunity of staying overnight while saving money for
the flavorful food or the whimsical souvenirs. Disadvantages to Chabela
Camping may include sharing a bathroom, and lack of privacy.
Chabela Camping is a unique experience that visitors to Mazatlan should
experience. Chabela Camping differs greatly from hotel experiences but
can be a cheaper alternative while providing memories worth sharing
back home.
